FINDING NEVERLAND Will Open On Broadway April 8, 2015

Producer Harvey Weinstein and director Diane Paulus announced today that Finding Neverland will open on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on April 8, 2015.  This announcement comes on the heels of Finding Neverland’s sold-out, world-premiere engagement at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, which ended yesterday.   The production began previews at the Loeb Drama Center on Wednesday, July 23, and ran for a total of 75 performances – all of which played to capacity crowds, making it the highest attended and highest grossing production in A.R.T.’s 34-year history.   Finding Neverland will begin preview performances on Broadway in March, 2015.  Casting will be announced shortly.

WOLF HALL Will Sail Across the Pond and On To Broadway This Spring

After critically acclaimed and sold out engagements at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon and at the Aldwych Theatre in London, the theatrical event Wolf Hall: Parts 1 & 2 will arrive on Broadway the first day of spring, Friday, March 20th, 2015, and thus officially usher in the spring season.

Based on the best selling novels by Dame Hilary Mantel, Wolf Hall: Parts 1 & 2 will invite theatre goers to be part of a unique theatrical experience, similar to the Royal Shakespeare Company’s award winning production of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby.

PIPPIN Welcomes Lucie Arnaz as “Berthe” Beginning October 9th

Lucie Arnaz is set to return to Broadway in the role of “Berthe” in the Tony Award winning Pippin for a limited engagement beginningThursday, October 9 through Sunday, November 9. Ms. Arnaz is currently playing the role in the Pippin national tour which opens this week at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco, CA. Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez returns to the Broadway cast in the role of “Berthe” beginning tonight, September 23. Pippin is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

Michael C. Hall To star On Broadway In HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

Golden Globe and Drama Desk Award winner Michael C. Hall will star in Hedwig And The Angry Inch, the Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival, starting Thursday, October 16 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). HEDWIG will mark Hall’s first musical theatre role in over a decade having previously made acclaimed runs in the Broadway productions of Cabaret and Chicago.

Michael C. Hall’s limited engagement in Hedwig is through Sunday, January 4, 2015. Andrew Rannells, who is currently playing the role of Hedwig, will play the final performance of his limited engagement onSunday, October 12.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards To Be Broadcast Live From Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7th 2015

The American Theatre Wing’s 69th Annual Tony Awards will air on the CBS Television Network onSunday, June 7, 2015 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT), live from the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978.  The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. 

The official eligibility cut-off date will be Thursday, April 23, 2015, for all Broadway productions opening in the 2014-2015 season.  Productions which meet all other eligibility requirements and open on or before the eligibility date are considered eligible for 2015 Tony Award nominations. 

The Nominations for the 2015 Tony Awards will be announced live on Tuesday, April 28th from New York City.

A limited number of tickets to the 2015 Tony Awards will be made available to the general public.   Tickets will be available at www.TonyAwards.com starting on April 29th.  

The 2013 Tony Awards telecast was recently honored with three Primetime Emmy Awards – in the categories of Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special; Outstanding Special Class Program and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “Bigger!”.

Manhattan Theatre Club To Present AIRLINE HIGHWAY

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) are pleased to announce Manhattan Theatre Club will present the Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s production of Airline Highway , the new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist,Lisa D’Amour (Detroit), directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Casa ValentinaTake Me Out).

The limited engagement will begin previews Wednesday, April 1, 2015 and open Thursday, April 23, 2015 at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Prior to coming to MTC, Airline Highway will receive its world premiere at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s Downstairs Theatre (December 4, 2014 – February 8, 2015).

In the parking lot of The Hummingbird, a once-glamorous motel on New Orleans’ infamous Airline Highway, a group of friends gather. A rag-tag collection of strippers, hustlers, and philosophers have come together to celebrate the life of Miss Ruby, an iconic burlesque performer who has requested a funeral before she dies. The party rages through the night as old friends resurface to pay their respects. A world premiere from the author of DetroitAirline Highwayis a boisterous and moving ode to the outcasts that make life a little more interesting.

NEWSIES Tour Casting Announcement

Disney Theatrical Productions is pleased to announce full casting for the eagerly anticipated North American tour of Broadway’s Tony® Award-winning smash hit musical, Disney’s Newsies  Rehearsals began on Wednesday, September 3 in New York City in preparation for the first performance on Saturday, October 11 in Schenectady, NY at Proctors.  During its first year of touring in the 2014-15 season, the production will play 25 cities, over 43 weeks. 

The production features Dan DeLuca as “Jack Kelly”, Steve Blanchard as “Joseph Pulitzer”, Stephanie Styles as “Katherine”, Angela Grovey as “Medda Larkin”, Jacob Kemp as “Davey”, Zachary Sayle as “Crutchie”, and Vincent Crocilla and Anthony Rosenthal alternating the role of “Les.”

Rounding out the cast are Mark Aldrich, Josh Assor, Evan Autio, Bill Bateman, Joshua Michael Burrage, Kevin Carolan, DeMarius Copes, Benjamin Cook, Julian DeGuzman, Nico De Jesus, Sky Flaherty, Steve Greenstein, Jon Hacker, Jeff Heimbrock, Stephen Hernandez, James Judy, Meredith Inglesby, Eric John Mahlum, Ginna Claire Mason, Michael Ryan, Jordan Samuels, Jack Sippel, Melissa Steadman Hart, Andrew Wilson and Chaz Wolcott.    

Newsies, the new American musical, features a Tony® Award-winning score with music by eight-time Academy Award® winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, a book by four-time Tony® Award winner Harvey Fierstein and is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions. Gloria & Emilio Estefan Musical ON YOUR FEET! Sets Broadway Dates, Launches Int’l Casting Search

James L. Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman are pleased to announce that On Your Feet!a new musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY® winning international superstarGloria Estefan and her husband, legendary producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan  will have its Opening Night on Broadway on Thursday, November 5, 2015, with preview performances beginning Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Marquis Theatre in New York City.  The musical, directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray), will land on Broadway following a five-week World Premiere engagement at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, from June 2 – July 5, 2015.

FUN HOME Finds Its Home On Broadway This Spring
