Gloria & Emilio Estefan Musical ON YOUR FEET! Sets Broadway Dates, Launches Int’l Casting Search

Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman are pleased to announce that On Your Feet!a new musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY® winning international superstarGloria Estefan and her husband, legendary producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan  will have its Opening Night on Broadway on Thursday, November 5, 2015, with preview performances beginning Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Marquis Theatre in New York City.  The musical, directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray), will land on Broadway following a five-week World Premiere engagement at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, from June 2 – July 5, 2015.

Today, the production launches an international casting search, Reach Gloria (#ReachGloria) which offers performers around the world a chance to audition for all roles in the Broadway cast of On Your Feet!by submitting audition videos online  The production will also host two OPEN CASTING CALLS next month – one in the Estefans’ home city of Miami, Florida, in Knight Concert Hall of Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday September 21, 2014, and another at Pearl Studios in New York City on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. The open casting calls will be led by members of the show’s creative team, and casting director Justin Huff, CSA of Telsey + Co.

FUN HOME Finds Its Home On Broadway This Spring

SIDE SHOW Begins Performances on Broadway October 28th

The much-talked about dazzling new production of Side Show will open on Broadway this fall at the St. James Theatre, it was announced today in New York City. CHICAGO To Welcome Back Two-Time Tony Nominee Christopher Fitzgerald

On Tuesday, August 5, Broadway’s Tony Award-winning, record-breaking smash hit musical Chicago will welcome back two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald in the his second starring role in the production.

Fitzgerald, who made his Chicago debut last October as Roxie Hart’s all-but-invisible husband, “Mister Cellophane” Amos Hart, returns to the company next week as Billy Flynn, “the silver-tongued Prince of the Courtroom.”

Broadway’s ON THE TOWN Welcomes Jackie Hoffman

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS To Play The Palace On Broadway

Producers of the upcoming world premiere of An American in Paris are pleased to announce dates and the theatre for the Broadway run of the production. An American in Paris’ home will be the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street) with previews beginning Friday, March 13, 2015 for aSunday, April 12, 2015 opening night. An American in Paris will open on Broadway following its world premiere at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Previews begin in Paris on Saturday, November 22, 2014 for a Wednesday, December 10, 2014 opening night.

Producers of the Tony® Award winning musical Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Robyn Goodman, Jill Furman and Stephen Kocis, have announced additional casting for the First National Tour launching in Providence, RI at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on October 10, 2014

Ready to sweep Cinderella off her feet, Andy Jones will play the role of Prince Topher. Andy was a member of the original Broadway company of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella and understudied the role of Prince Topher. He currently appears in Bullets Over Broadway The Musical.

The tour cast will also feature Kecia Lewis (Leap of Faith, The Drowsy Chaperone) as Marie, The Fairy Godmother, Blake Hammond (First Date, Sister Act) as Sebastian, Aymee Garcia (Shrek The Musical, Avenue Q) as Charlotte, Ashley Park (Mamma Mia!) as Gabrielle, David Andino (50 Shades! The Musical) as Jean-Michel and Antoine Smith (Memphis) as Lord Pinkerton.

Rounding out the ensemble are Adrien Arrieta, Adrian Badoo, Summer Broyhill, Audrey Cardwell, Jennifer Evans, Alexandra Frohlinger, Richard Gatta, Jordana Grolnick, Eric Anthony Johnson, Danielle Jordan, Bruce Landry, Ben Lanham, Stephanie Jae Park, Blakely Slaybough, Paige Williams, Thad Turner Wilson, John Yi and Alexandra Zorn.

KINKY BOOTS Announces First National Tour Casting

Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, lead producers of Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony® Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), have announced casting for the upcoming first national tour. 

Kyle Taylor Parker (Kinky BootsIn the Heights national tour), one of the Angels in the original Broadway company, will strut his stuff as Lola - something he has done to great acclaim on several occasions in New York as the Lola understudy. Steven Booth (Avenue Q, Glory DaysDogfight) will star as shoe factory owner Charlie Price. Parker and Booth will be joined by Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Lysistrata Jones) as Lauren, Joe Coots (TV’s “Inside Amy Schumer,” Full Monty national tour) as Don, Craig Waletzko (Guys & Dolls, Young Frankenstein) as George and Grace Stockdale in her touring debut as Nicola.

THE ELEPHANT MAN Announces Theatre, Dates & Additional Casting

The Elephant Man begins performances on Saturday, October 18, 2014 and will open on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th St). The production will play a 13-week engagement through January 18, 2014.

This production was first produced and presented in July 2012 in Williamstown Massachusetts by the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Jenny Gersten, Artistic Director. Bradley Cooper (as John Merrick), Patricia Clarkson (as Mrs. Kendal) and Alessandro Nivola (as Dr. Fredrik Treves) all appeared together in that production, also directed by Scott Ellis. The Broadway cast will also include Anthony Heald (as Ross / Bishop Walsham How), Scott Lowell (as Snork / Pinhead Manager / Lord John), Kathryn Meisle (as Miss Sandwich / Princess) and Henry Stram (as Carr Gomm / Conductor). Based on the real life of Joseph Merrick, The Elephant Man tells the story of a 19th-century British man (Cooper) whose severe disfigurement made him a star of the traveling freak show circuit. When the renowned Dr. Treves (Nivola) takes Merrick under his care at the London Hospital, he discovers that beneath this shocking exterior lies a brilliant mind and an unshakable faith.
